Balanced Omega-3 Formula, 50% EPA, 50% DHA

Omega-3 refers to series of fatty acid that starts with Alpha Linolenic Acid and ends in docosahaexaenoic acid.

Fatty acid refers to the chemical composition of theses fats, that is to say the they possess a carboxylic acid group.

These fats are different from the type of fat that are used as a source of energy. These fats are polyunsaturated, meaning that they are used in biochemical process, predominantly in immune signaling and thus are stored in the cellular membranes.

The two important and most investigated omega-3 fatty acid are EPA and DHA, the latter is used exclusively in the nervous system, brain and eyes.

Alpha Lionlenic is mainly found in the green leafy vegetables and through processes called desaturation and elongation converts to EPA and DHA.

EPA and DHA are found in cold-water fishes, which is the richest source of these polyunsaturated fatty acids.

DHA is mainly utilized for the nervous system and EPA for the cardiovascular suste.

Our Omega-3 has a balanced formula: 50% EPA and 50% DHA.  We gave the same important to the cardiovascular system as the nervous system.
